High School
Youth Ministry at New Community is focused on authentic loving relationships with kids to be nurtured into
discipleship training tracks founded upon the authority of God's word. Our vision is to assist kids as they
learn to become active members of the body of Christ. We are committed to the overall vision of New
Community, finding that small groups are the best medium for leading kids into taking ownership of their
personal relationship with God. Within these small groups leaders work to equip students to become leaders
themselves, modeling what it looks like to aggressively follow Christ and live missionally for Him.
Using Christ as our model, our conviction is that our ministry ought to be incarnational. We therefore seek to
meet kids where they are. Leaders invest in students in such a way that they find themselves deeply
involved in their lives. The leader-student relationship is at the heart of our ministry as these relationships
will be a witness to the love of Christ.
Today many kids find themselves in a broken world, in broken relationships, and in broken homes, not
receiving the love that they need and deserve. We love kids. Period. It gives us joy to love kids and present
them with hope in a hopeless world.
